📣 I am now a Qualified Member of ITI (MITI)

Wonderful news! This morning I received an email from the Membership Officer of ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting), saying that I passed the admission exam I took some time ago. The exam consisted of an English-to-Italian medical translation, a complex five-page oncology article.

About ITI

ITI is the only UK-based independent professional membership association for practising translators, interpreters, and language service providers. Founded in 1986, it now has over 3,000 members, both in the UK and internationally. ITI seeks to promote the highest standards in the profession, supporting its members and representing the translation industry at the very top level. ITI members are expected to adhere to high levels of professional standards. All ITI members, whether based in the UK or abroad, are required to adhere to and uphold the ITI Code of Professional Conduct. If you would like to know more, click here.

I am absolutely thrilled and am looking forward to starting networking with my UK colleagues. But in the meantime, I will now take some time to really celebrate in style!
